Habari Huru aggregates publicly available news content from Kenyan and international media sources for the purpose of bias analysis and coverage intelligence. We respect intellectual property rights and will respond promptly to valid copyright or content removal requests.

Copyright Takedown (DMCA)

If you believe that content displayed on Habari Huru infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to our designated agent containing:

• Your full legal name, address, and contact information.
• A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• The exact URL(s) on Habari Huru where the allegedly infringing material appears.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

Other Content Removal Requests

If you believe content on Habari Huru is factually incorrect, defamatory, or violates applicable Kenyan law, you may submit a removal request explaining the specific harm and the legal basis for removal. We review each request on its merits.

How to Submit

Send all takedown notices by email to:

We aim to acknowledge valid requests within 5 business days and to action confirmed takedowns within 10 business days.

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice. Counter-notices must include your contact information, identification of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake, and your consent to jurisdiction in Kenya.
